What made you start CrossFit?
A friend of mine was doing it and said I’d enjoy it so took me down to CrossFit Clitheroe to do my foundations. Shortly after that, I heard about CrossFit Leyland opening and have been a member ever since!
What does CrossFit mean to you?
CrossFit means a lot of different things to me. As a coach, it’s my opportunity to help people in life and hopefully impact their lives for the better. As a CrossFitter, it provides me with a challenge that I just didn’t get anymore after having to stop playing basketball competitively due to work commitments. There’s always something to work on, skills strength numbers, benchmark score etc. You are never above the workout and if you ever think you are it usually puts you back in your place!
How long have you been coaching at CrossFit Leyland?
I’ve been coaching at Leyland since February 2013
What your favourite class to teach?
I don’t know if I have a favourite class to teach. I love the variety. CrossFit, Olympic Lifting, Skills, Competitor Development Class, it’s all good fun!
If you had to sum CrossFit up in 3 words what would they be?
JUST KEEP MOVING
What would your advice be to our members in terms of their training?
Master the basics and the advanced movements will come over time! The better you move the better your gains will be!
