How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I first got introduced to CrossFit when i visited Gina and Gary at CrossFit Tyneside about 4 years ago.

What made you start crossfit?

I have always been into sport and fitness and worked in the industry since finishing uni. In 2011 i put plans in place to open my own strength and conditioning facility, which also coincided with gina and gary moving back from the north-east. With no boxes in the Leyland area, we decided to team up and apply for CrossFit affiliation in 2012.

What does crossfit mean to you?

Life changing fitness. CrossFit has bridged the gap between elite athletic populations and the general public, making athletic training suitable and achievable for everyone.

How long have you been coaching at CFL?

Since we opened in 2012

What is your favourite class to teach?

All the classes we offer are great. Personally, I really enjoyed the sessions that we did in prep for tough mudder / born survivor. Hopefully we’ll be doing some more of this in 2016.

If you had to sum up crossfit in 3 words what would they be?

Fun, fitness, friendships

What would your advice be to our members in terms of their training?

Leave your ego at the door. Train smart, recover well, what you do in the remaining twenty odd hours per day outside of the gym will determine your results.
