Age: 54
How long have you been doing CF for: I started coming to CrossFit lite in April 2017. I then took the foundation course and became a member in June (9 months as of Feb 2018)
Why did you make the decision to join CrossFit: I had been doing daily workouts at home for a couple of years consisting of press-ups, sits ups, lunges but not much else. My friend and fellow CrossFit Leyland member Matt Wright would talk to me constantly about CrossFit and how I should give it a go. After much wavering on my part, Matt and his partner Becky ( also another CFL member) took me to a CrossFit Lite session and I simply haven’t looked back since.
How did you feel when you first walked through the door: A combination of intense nervousness (would I be able to do it) and determination (not to let the chance slip through my fingers)
How do you feel when you walk through the door now: A combination of intense nervousness (would I be able to do it) and determination (not to let this chance slip through my fingers)

"CrossFit is an all inclusive sport, irrespective of age gender or ability. I have become friends with people of a similar age and some much younger. My only experience of CrossFit is CrossFit Leyland, but I think it would struggle to find a better box."

What are your goals now: I am not a particular competitive man, but I am very determined, so in general I would say to give it all ive got all of the time and never let the coaches down, more specifically, my aim is to improve on overhead movements, especially the squat snatch, but at the same time remembering that patience is a virtue.
